When the creeping begins
When you sit in a room full of people
And you can’t help but feel alone
Contrary to what you want to believe,
The invitation to go deeper begins.
To light the candle, hold it out, and step into the darkness.
To follow its story,
its caverns,
its walkways,
and let it wind you down down down into your center.
In the center lives your breath, your life force, your truth.
When you find your center and open to the aloneness, there you can listen.
In the silence
Listen for the heartbeat
Listen for the truth, you know that lives there
Listen for that knowing deep within that you are meant to be here
In the center, the sense of aloneness can begin to fade.
When you know yourself truly -
When you hear your life beating through you -
When you can meet yourself wherever you go, you realize it is impossible to ever be alone.
Because you are there.
You are present.
And in presence,
there is a great capacity to feel the love that surrounds you.
In the next few days, I hope to take some time to record a meaningful meditation to support anyone who feels alone and needs a little nourishment this week.
