I wrote this meditation while on my period, but did not record, produce, or schedule this post until days after my period had ended because in my world, periods are for feeling, dreaming, resting, and honoring, and the entire rest of the month is for everything else.
Every single person who menstruates will experience their cycle differently. Some severe cramps, others waves of emotion, and some nary an effect in site.
All responses from each unique body and its unique experience in the world.
So this meditation isn’t for “one type” of menstruation symptoms or another, but instead an invitation and a space for those bleeding to tap in with their body, their comfort, and their needs in honor of connecting with themselves.
Depending on what you need today, you can do this meditation lying down, walking, seated, or immersed in nature.
